Real estate as capital investment
Residential real estate is one of the most crisis-independent investment products and one of the safest investments in the future.
The cds Wohnbau Group also relies on real estate as a capital investment. Up to now, we have been able to continuously expand our real estate portfolio and have since profited from the increase in value and returns. In order to create greater economic independence, two Gründerzeit residential and commercial buildings were acquired in the metropolitan regions of Berlin and Frankfurt, extensively renovated and converted into new business premises.
In 2008, the residential and commercial building at Reinhardtstraße 8 in Berlin-Mitte became the new Berlin headquarters and ideal business location near the government district. The charm of the old Berlin days was brought back to life and now unfolds in the spacious rooms with wide Berlin double doors. Artfully restored stucco elements on the ceilings and magnificent ornaments in the staircase are witnesses to the stately location in the middle of the city. Currently, the existing rental apartments are being converted and renovated piece by piece.
In 2019, the milestone for a larger office close to the city center was set with the acquisition of the residential and commercial building at Kaiserstraße 35. On two floors, a team- and productivity-promoting as well as modern company headquarters was created in one of the last remaining boulevards near Frankfurt's main train station. The offices were occupied on October 1, 2021. The listed property is a valuable continuation of the previous portfolio construction of the cds Wohnbau Group.
